South County Fire offers FREE home safety evaluations that include a visit from our Outreach staff to provide an assessment of fall and fire risks. 

We can also help install alarms for those who cannot afford them or troubleshoot your existing alarms.

Our team will help identify steps you can take and changes you can make to reduce your risk.

We are unable to assist with the following:

• We cannot assist with rewiring of hardwired smoke alarms.
• We do not have CO alarms for distribution but can assist with installing if homeowner/occupant already has the alarms.
• We cannot provide smoke alarms for home resale purposes.
