The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program teaches participants about disaster preparedness for hazards that may occur where they live.
You will learn skills needed to help you, your family, and your neighbors until additional help arrives.
CERT trains participants in basic disaster response skills, such as:
- Fire safety
- Light search and rescue
- Team organization
- Disaster medical operations
South County Fire offers 3-day CERT Basic Training classes twice a year, spring and fall.
Classes meet daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Must attend entire class to receive credit.
