The map above shows commissioner election districts approved by the Board of Commissioners in November 2022. An independent consultant was hired by South County Fire to draft boundaries for five districts with balanced population and public input was solicited.

Commissioner Districts are for election purposes only and are not related to fire service operations. The boundaries apply only for the election of your fire commissioners. These districts do not change or impact 911 responses or the delivery of your fire and emergency medical services.

Brier and Mountlake Terrace joined the regional fire authority on August 1, 2023. Commissioner District boundaries will be revised to include these cities.

City of Edmonds receives emergency services under contract with South County Fire, but is not part of the regional fire authority and voters there do not participate in South County Fire elections.
